One of the Corpmen who delivered Harold to the Aid station was another Huntingdon boy, John Thompson
Died of Wounds 17 Aug 1944
When the telegraph operator in Huntingdon received the telegram concerning Harolds deat, knowing that Roesemary was about to give birth to their second child, the telegram was delivered to Monsignor David, the Huntingdon Catholic Priest. He waited until Rosemary had given birth before he personnally delivered the news to Rosemary.
