Lieutenant D. A. Shanks has taken his main test in flying high, reaching altitude of 13,100 feet. He found it “quite novel” to be looking on the white fluffy clouds from the top side. It took him 2 1/4 hours going and 1/2 hour coming down. He has one more tests, after which he goes to Scotland to the Aerial Gunnery School.
