Extract from “Uno Park News”
Two more of our young men have volunteered their services for King and Country, Messrs. Frank Parker and Roy Scott having enlisted with the new 48th Battalion, and are now training at the Haileybury Armouries.

"48th" is probably an error, as that Battalion was raised in Victoria, BC (MD 11).  It should be "58th" Battalion, which would seem to be correct as a number of Northern Ontario men served in that unit.
