From the Battle Front
Capt. Robinson has sent to Mrs. R.S. Robinson, his wife, the iron frame of a bicycle which surely “has been through the war.” It is battered and scarred in 17 places by shrapnell. In some places holed are torn through the frame. There was no one on the bicycle at the time. It was left standing on a bridge which the Germans were attacking, and which was being defended by the bicycle corps. The boys held the bridge, but must have had a hot time of it.
