Privates Roy Scott and Douglas Rutherford arrived home last week from Niagara Camp in the best of health and spirits. The boys have certainly been greatly benefitted by the training they have received. They are off on a month's “Harvest leave” and owing to their names being handed in for this permission some time previous they were unable to leave with a draft of 1400 men for overseas though both names were in the draft. The camp is attaining an immense size, battalion after battalion is pouring in and everywhere there is a keenness among officers and men to be away to the fight.
Sergeant Frank Parker is expected home on a short leave of absence this week.
