CANADIANS TOO YOUNG

Keen Young Soldiers Who Had to go Home

An English paper said:  Another detachment of young Canadian soldiers is about to be sent back to the Dominion.  Its members enlisted as men of full military age, and it has only been discovered in compiling the records in this country that they are many months short of eighteen years of age.

"They are as keen as mustard," said a Canadian official, "and are first-class fighting material, but the authorities think that they should go back to Canada to continue in training there until they are old enough to take their places in the firing line."

The youngsters themselves are disappointed that their great hope of meeting the Hun must be postponed, but are well content with the "joy ride" they have had across the Atlantic.
