Memorial Tablet for 281 soldiers & 1 Nursing sister from St. Clements Anglican Church, Leslieville, Toronto

The Toronto Star reported on 10 May 2013 that this church is being converted to condos with the church interior housing 18 condos, and an additional building to be erected on the property.  The 1913 Gothic Revival church was closed in 2006 and purchased by a developer in 2007.

The names are spelled as they appeared in the paper which could include a misspelling.  A number can be matched to their entries on this project.

UNVEIL MEMORIAL TABLET FOR HEROES

The memorial tablet to perpetuate the memory of the 281 soldiers and one nursing sister from St. Clements' Anglican Church, corner of East Danforth and Jones avenues, who enlisted for service overseas, was solemnly unveiled at the morning service yesterday. Rev. W. L. Baynes-Reed, D.S.O., performed the ceremony. The following is a list of those who paid the supreme sacrifice:
